What is the Intuitive Nudges Collection?
The intuitive nudges collection is a compilation of digital art that evolved from hand-drawn sketches. The title Intuitive Nudges was inspired by sudden urges to create art from my subconscious and emotional states.
Purpose
This collection began as a way for me to express my inner emotions on paper, primarily to clear my thoughts and feelings. Initially, I didn't intend to share the meaning behind each piece because I couldn't fully understand my subconscious when I created them.
However, as I finished the collection, the meaning behind each piece became clear to me. By allowing my emotions to flow freely throughout the entire collection, I uncovered a story of personal growth.
THE PROCESS
Sketching
This collection prioritizes progress over perfection. Perfectionism used to impede my creative process, as I could only work on it during my daily commutes, often on bumpy bus rides. Creating this collection has helped me embrace my imperfections, let go, and rediscover the joy in the creative process.
Digitalizing
I redrew and digitized these pieces using Procreate on my iPad. Each piece required a minimum of 5 hours, with some taking up to 10 hours due to the challenges of working during bus rides.
Motion Graphics
Naturally, I’m able to see the flow in my art. To offer a similar experience for the viewers I decided to take it a step further and bring these pieces alive by teaching myself motion graphics.
Music
To further enhance the experience my twin sister Nicole produced music for each piece. She will be receiving 10% of the sales. This is my sister and my very first official collaboration.
